Academic Excellence Scholarship

To reward outstanding achievement the Peninsula College offers scholarship schemes to help towards funding your studies.

Academic Achievement Criteria Entitlement
9As and above in SPM or O Level / 12 points in UEC
Scholar has to maintain a CGPA of 3.85 and above for every consecutive semester for the entitlement benefit.
100% of Total Tuition Fee
7As – 8As in SPM or O Level / 16 points in UEC
Scholar has to maintain a CGPA of 3.70 and above for every consecutive semester for the entitlement benefit.
50% of Total Tuition Fee
5As – 6As in SPM or O Level / 24 points in UEC
Scholar has to maintain a CGPA of 3.50 and above for every consecutive semester for the entitlement benefit.
25% of Total Tuition Fee

Diploma with CGPA 3.30 and above
Scholar has to maintain a CGPA of 3.30 and above for every consecutive semester for the entitlement benefit.
10% of Total Tuition Fee

Criteria

1.     Applicable to Malaysian recipients only

2.     Applicant must meet the minimum academic achievement from a recognised institution

3.     Applicable to low-income families / single parent with demonstrated financial needs(gross monthly household income not exceeding RM 3,000)

4.     Scholar has to maintain a CGPA of 2.00 and above for ever consecutive semester for the entitlement benefit

Entitlement

Subject to approval by Yayasan PKT

 

 

To reward outstanding achievement the Peninsula College offers scholarship schemes to help towards funding your studies.

Criteria

1.     Applicable to Malaysian recipients only

2.     Applicant must meet the minimum academic achievement from a recognised institution

3.     Only selected sports are eligible for Sports Scholarship such as archery,
athletics (track & field, javelin, long jump, triple jump, high jump, pole vault, shot put, discus), badminton, basketball,
bowling (tenpin), chess (international), fencing, football, futsal, karatedo, netball (female only), rugby (male only),
table tennis, taekwondo (WTF), tennis, volleyball, squash and swimming

4.     If an applicant’s chosen sport is not part of the list of sports for the Sports Scholarship, it will then fall under the discretion of
Yayasan PKT to accept the application and/or to grant an interview

5.     Verification by State or National Sports Association

6.     Scholar has to maintain a CGPA of 2.00 and above for every consecutive semester for the entitlement benefit

2.     Applicant must meet the minimum academic achievement from a recognised institution

3.     Recipients who have scored 1A to 4As in SPM/O Level (Applicable to all Diploma Programmes only)

1.     SPM / O Level:
4As – RM 600
3As – RM 450
2As – RM 300
1A – RM 150

2.     Other bursaries are subject to approval by Yayasan PKT

 

 

Professor Dr Ian Pashby

Professor Ian Robert Pashby graduated from the University of Sheffield (UK) with a bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy and then worked in research and development for Rolls-Royce (aero engines). He joined the Warwick Manufacturing Group at the University of Warwick (UK) as a lecturer, was awarded his PhD for research in the processing of materials and subsequently promoted to Senior Lecturer.

In 2000, he became Professor of Manufacturing Processes at the University of Nottingham (UK).

Professor Pashby moved to the University of Nottingham’s Malaysia Campus in 2007 to become Deputy Head. became Pro-Vice Chancellor and then CEO of the campus in 2008. Returning to the UK in 2013, he became Pro-Vice Chancellor at the University of Hull (UK). He moved back to Malaysia in 2017 to lead the Peninsula Higher Education Group as its Group President and in 2024 became the Advisor.
