About BSc (Hons) Maritime Business (Logistics) | The Ship Campus, Batu Kawan, Penang
Study Maritime Logistics Operations in a Business Context
Maritime transport, logistics, and supply chain management support the movement of goods across international markets and remain essential to global trade. This programme gives students an in-depth understanding of shipping, ports, logistics operations, supply chains, business management, and the commercial factors that influence the maritime sector. Delivered at The Ship Campus, Batu Kawan, Penang in partnership with the University of Plymouth, the degree connects academic learning with Peninsula College Malaysia’s industry-focused environment. Students develop analytical, operational, and management skills while examining how organisations plan routes, coordinate cargo movement, manage resources, respond to risks, and improve supply chain performance. For students searching for a maritime logistics qualification, the programme provides a pathway into a future-focused field with opportunities across shipping companies, freight forwarding, port operations, warehousing, procurement, transport planning, and supply chain management. The Campus-in-Industry setting also helps students understand how theory relates to real business practices.
