Advanced Learning Centre commenced its operation at No. 6, Jalan Kapar, Klang, Selangor.

Started offering Professional Courses (LCCI, ACCA, CIMA).

The institution officially renamed as ALC College approved by Ministry of Higher Education.

2006

Commenced MQA approved Homegrown Diploma qualifications.

2008

Established partnership with University of Gloucestershire, UK, offering their Business & Accountancy degree programmes.

Registered as HRD Corp Training Centre, certified to provide management & corporate trainings for aspiring professionals & corporate organisation.

ALC became a subsidiary of PKT Logistics Sdn. Bhd. as their CSR arm.

Launched 2nd campus - Lighthouse, Shah Alam. Became the 1st institution in Malaysia to have a campus in corporate setting, closer to real industry.

Started MQA recognised Diploma in Logistics Management.

Launched 3rd corporate campus – Peninsula College Georgetown.

Established collaboration with University of Plymouth, UK.

ALC rebranded as Peninsula College approved by Ministry of Higher Education.

Awarded MS ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management System.

City Campus moved in to a new purpose-built educational environment at Level 2, Klang Parade.

Professor Dr Ian Pashby

Professor Ian Robert Pashby graduated from the University of Sheffield (UK) with a bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy and then worked in research and development for Rolls-Royce (aero engines). He joined the Warwick Manufacturing Group at the University of Warwick (UK) as a lecturer, was awarded his PhD for research in the processing of materials and subsequently promoted to Senior Lecturer.

In 2000, he became Professor of Manufacturing Processes at the University of Nottingham (UK).

Professor Pashby moved to the University of Nottingham’s Malaysia Campus in 2007 to become Deputy Head. became Pro-Vice Chancellor and then CEO of the campus in 2008. Returning to the UK in 2013, he became Pro-Vice Chancellor at the University of Hull (UK). He moved back to Malaysia in 2017 to lead the Peninsula Higher Education Group as its Group President and in 2024 became the Advisor.
